Yes, as long as your Shopbox is empty, unlatched and ready for use.
Can I leave my Shopbox switched on all the time?
Shopbox can be left on but we recommend you switch it off between deliveries to save energy.
A visible LED display shows if the power is on and if the correct temperature has been reached.
Can Shopbox receive two deliveries on the same day?
You should empty your Shopbox between deliveries as you should not leave your groceries accessible to anyone except the key holder.
Can the Shopbox be moved with shopping inside?
The Shopbox has wheels and is mobile, but due to the added weight when full we recommend it is only moved when empty .

How does the delivery person know about the Shopbox system?
We’ll give you Shopbox Post-It pads which you can leave in a prominent place to provide instructions for the delivery person. We’re currently working with the national home delivery networks and major grocers to ensure Shopbox is a recognised delivery option. How long can groceries be left in the Shopbox after delivery?
Shopbox operates in exactly the same way as your fridge-freezer and you should follow the usual guidelines for both chilled and frozen products.
How will shopping be delivered to my Shopbox?
Your shopping will be delivered in shopping bags and will be just as easy to unload from the Shopbox as it is from your car.
I live in a flat – can I have a Shopbox?
You will need a secure location with a power supply and so this will depend on your individual circumstances. Please ask us for advice.
Is the Shopbox weatherproof?
Yes – the Shopbox is British weather-proof! It is also wheeled and can be easily moved for storage in a garage or shed.
Might a child or pet become trapped inside a Shopbox?
No. It is not possible to become trapped inside a Shopbox.
What about substitute items that I don’t want?
Check with your supermarket for its specific policy, but you have the right to refuse substitutes at the time you place your order or to call the supermarket’s helpline after delivery to say you do not wish to accept the substitutes they have supplied.
What do I have to do before a delivery?
Simply switch on your Shopbox and leave it unlocked ready for delivery. The delivery driver will then store your groceries and leave them securely locked in.
What happens if the Shopbox breaks down?
Shopboxes will be repaired or replaced and the cost is included in your set up fee.
What if I lose the key?
Just phone us on 0113 2522333 and we’ll provide a replacement within three days.
What if I order too much shopping to fit in the Shopbox?
Our research using real supermarket data shows that Shopbox should hold the majority of online grocery orders. Once your Shopbox is installed, you will quickly be able to judge how much shopping it can take.
Each supermarket has its own policy on part-delivery or re-delivery. For example, you may be able to arrange for next-day delivery of any remainder.
Some of our customers choose to have two deliveries a week to ensure maximum freshness and product life on their orders. Choosing cheaper delivery slots ensures this option is still economical.

How secure is Shopbox?
Shopbox is secured to your property with a steel wall plate and lockable security cable, both of which are supplied.
The locking mechanism on the Shopbox itself is virtually impossible to open, even with a crowbar. We’ll supply you with two keys and replacements are only available from us.
How does Shopbox work?
It couldn’t be simpler or more convenient:
- Order your groceries and ask for them to be delivered to your Shopbox.
- If necessary, choose a delivery slot – remember, you don’t have to be in and can choose the cheapest time!
- Switch on the Shopbox and leave it on the latch ready for the delivery.
- Come home and unpack your groceries when you’re ready!
How big is a Shopbox and will it take my usual weekly shopping?
Your Shopbox is big enough to store a full trolley-load of groceries – enough for a family of four.

With the shelving divisions removed, Shopbox can store parcels up to 80cm x 50cm x 46cm, or 115cm x 44cm x 16cm.
(The dimensions of the Shopbox vary from smaller at the bottom to larger at the top.)
What about delivery and installation?
We will deliver and install Shopbox which comes supplied with an extension lead for plugging into your main electricity supply.
A small, 1cm diameter hole may need to be drilled through an external wall to allow the lead to be plugged into an internal socket with an RCD that we provide.
